Rakurai, a high-performance Solana validator client built to optimize block production, transaction scheduling, and validator profitability, has confirmed the security of its core codebase following a completed Hashlock audit. The attached final report rates the Rakurai system “Secure” after an April 2026 review of its Rust scheduler stack.
What Is Rakurai?
Rakurai is a high performance Solana validator client built to optimize block production, transaction scheduling, and validator and staker profitability. Its core mission is to IBRL – Increase Bandwidth, Reduce Latency across the Solana network by efficiently scheduling & ordering transactions, and packing bigger & denser blocks. By improving how transactions are executed within each slot, Rakurai is delivering higher throughput, reduced latency, and improved reward outcomes without compromising network compatibility or decentralization.
Since its launch, Rakurai has gained significant traction among validator operators and delegators, already securing more than 8.8% of Solana’s total network stake (>38M SOL). Validator nodes running the Rakurai client have consistently delivered over 20% higher rewards compared to the network average, demonstrating how infrastructure level performance improvements can translate directly into stronger economic outcomes for validators and the broader staking community.
With the security review now complete and all findings resolved, Rakurai is positioned to support scalable, high throughput infrastructure as Solana continues to push toward higher transaction volumes and more competitive block production dynamics.
Audit Scope
The Hashlock audit focused on Rakurai’s Rust-based scheduler system. The review covered key components and related modules responsible for transaction handling, scheduling logic, and validator execution flow.
The assessment was conducted through manual line-by-line analysis, supported by automated testing and formal verification. The scope reflects Rakurai’s position as validator infrastructure, where correctness, performance, and reliability are critical.
From Audit to Production Readiness
Hashlock concluded that the Rakurai system is “Secure,” confirming that the reviewed codebase is suitable for deployment within the assessed scope. All vulnerabilities identified during the audit were resolved or acknowledged prior to finalization.
The audit recorded one high-severity, eight medium-severity, and six low-severity findings. These included issues related to transaction handling, buffer management, channel disconnection handling, and scheduler edge cases. Each was addressed during the audit process.
The final report notes that the system follows complex logic with correct and detailed ordering, and that the codebase meets the requirements expected for production-ready infrastructure.
Why Security Matters for Solana Infrastructure
Rakurai operates at the validator layer of the Solana network, where failures can directly impact block production, transaction throughput, and reward distribution. Issues at this level can affect validator performance and downstream participants, including delegators.
The audit reflects this by focusing on scheduler behavior, transaction flow, account locking, and execution reliability. These are critical components for maintaining consistent validator operation under real network conditions.
